Felicidad!

Looking back at 2007, it really passed by so quickly. I was so occupied for this year that I haven really had time to sit down and look back at the past year.

The beginning half of the year was pure work. Apart from the admin job, i took on 3 tuition and I was practically working everynight back then. Job at PIA was fun and enriching. Learnt a lot about the office environment and culture, which i think would really help if i were to get a desk bound job next time (most prob i won't). Had a very nice boss and very friendly colleagues. Haven been meeting up with them for quite long liao. should do a gathering with them b4 sch start.

next up was the period b4 school started. Finally got to go to Hong Kong, which was my dream destination since dunno when. Can still remember the excitement when the plane landed at HKIA. It was a holiday which i love and hate totally. I would want to go back there if i can. I love the hustle and bustle of Central, as well as the tranquility of lantau. Their transport system impresses me and i get more annoyed at sg system once i was back. It was fun as i usually see those places on tv and now i actually got to see it right before me.

Back to SG, it was another short getaway to Perhentian. Initially, i feared that it would be awkard as i didn't know bingyi well, but we hit off well and the whole trip was really enjoyable. My first time snorkelling and the experience was just so damm great. I just love the cooling breeze and the sound of the waves.... the torturous 13 hrs bus ride to and fro and the middle of the read breakdown was just so memorable.

Then it was on to another chapter of my life. the beginning of studies once again. perhaps it is a break away from books for 2 years, others were dreading sch while i was excitedly looking forward to it. I would say i worked harder this time round than during jc. My project groups all turned out really good. Never really had major breakdown or anything. The project experiences were really pleasant and enjoyable. and of course joining geog soc. Made a lot of good frens there. these are the frens that are most likely going to be spending 4 yrs with me in nus. not forgetting to mention desdanang07. Didn't expect to get in initially, but was really thrilled when i got selected. Did lots of fund raising, selling cupcakes cupcakes and more cupcakes. and karang guni. kind of miss the tuesdays where we had our meeting till dunno what time.... soon, it was the exams that everyone dreaded... results are below my expecations and i was kind of 'sian diao' when i knew about it.

to end off the year was the yep itself. During the 21 days, i really see and experience a lot of new things. I got to see the other side of vietnam, the non touristy side. My only regret was not mastering vietnamese well enough to communicate with the locals. I am very certain that it would have been a much much better experience if i could actually communicate with them. I am glad that our project went off well and that our hard work did not go to waste. I love the moment when we delivered the mobile libraries to the kids. It feels like everything we have done for the past 3 mths just came down to that moment. and of course the ppl on the trip. It has really been great knowing all of them. some are really marvellous ppl. Kind of miss the days there, although it has only been 3 days since we parted.

so that sums up my 2007. I guess i didn't miss anything out. well, i shall not make any resolutions cause i don't keep to them all the time. shall end the year with this song, which happens to be a song we keep listening to during the trip!

the ppl at my neighbourhood are now screaming like mad....

the 2 days that i am back seems to pass by like a daze.. Haven really got a chance to really settle down and have a good rest. Now, the exhaustion is really taking a toll on my body.

After a hard landing of 3K 556 in Changi, the chief flight attendant on the PA and said," Ladies and gentleman, welcome to Singapore. This is why you should keep your seat belt securely fasten.." the whole plane just went "duh....." Flight was real terrible for me, guess it is due to me not feeling well on the way back. i am those suay type who always fall sick during or after overseas trip ones...
yup, i am back in Singapore after a long 21 days... now looking back, the 21 days seems to past by so quickly. i am alreadly missing the feeling of being in a big group. the house seems so quiet and empty now..

shall blog more when i am more awake.... now in a state of semi trance.....

finally, our project has ended and we are spending a night in ho chi minh city. have to depart for the airport at 6am later, so i guess i shall not be sleeping tonight..

the past 20 days just flew by so quickly... it seems like yesterday when we were rushing for our flight at changi, reaching the house that we are going to stay in, scrubbing and painting the walls of the main primary school, conducting mass camp. i gonna miss the days here in vietnam. at least everyday is purposeful and well spent and i don't have to worry or think about other things.

really spent a lot of money.... our team has some serious shoppers and i just had a great time shopping in ben thian market... bargaining is so fun. my backpack is packed to the brim!

exams over!!!!!!!

I should be cheering because the exams are over!! but thinking of the stuff that i got to do within 3 days, it just kills the celebratory mood.. it's scary.. scared that i might miss out a thing or two.

talk about my papers.. that's why i always do after exams.. EL was quite a breeze, considering that i feel it is much easier to past years. think everyone gonna do well this time round. translation was a total disater. my first total disater experience. can't finish the paper.. and flip dictionary until hand pain loh, see until eye pain loh... 3 bloody dictionaries... and i was just bull shitting for the 2nd part as i dun have much time to put in some logical thoughts... today's nm paper was quite a joke (not quoted by me but by someone else). it was really much much easy than i thought. still got 2 qn wrong. damm.. cause i never go remember who invented what and who said what... left the hall at around 1hr 10 min... the funny thing is that when ppl start to leave (in hoards), walking past you... i just dun have the mood to continue my paper, so just chop chop check thru and hand up. my freedom came 50 minutes eariler...

tmr and fri got meetings and more meetings... can't wait for saturday to come... and wait, i haven pack my bags yet!!!

I seriously hate verb subcategorisation. I just CAN'T get it! i got those past yr qns on this subject wrong!! It's gonna boil down to pure luck to see if i can get it right in tomorrow paper.

still 3 more paper to go and i am slacking like nobody business. yest after GIS paper is like end of exam for me. went walk walk at orchard with ah tee. we both exclamined how long we haven been there... well, it wasn't a tat refreshing trip as nothing changed there (except for the xmas lightings, which we get so facinated by when we are young but now, it's just chey....)

GIS paper was still ok, though funny qns came out in section B. i left about 1.5 hrs into the paper, when ppl around me started to leave. i turn around and i realise almost the whole row behind me had gone... how i wish every paper is like dat, lots and lots of time to do. i was doing the whole paper very very slowly, occasionally stonning to see see around me (not to copy). i can see some ppl writing essays for section B, only to realise that they are econs students taking another paper. almost gave me a scare. wah lau, why ppl write so much and i write only 1 line? i can also see the invigilators are damm sian... this guy in front of me was just waiting for his friends to leave. how nice it is to be able to 'appreciate' the exam hall.

just did my module preferential exercise. think i shall stick to doing 2 RE modules next sem. will give me a bloody 4 day week. at least exams are spaced out, which means my paper is gonna end much much later than everyone else. x2 sian!

going to start packing my bag, then study for a while then sleep!
