the mid sem break just passed like this. In a wink of an eye, it is gone. I guess this is the first holiday in my entire sch life that doesn't feel like a holiday. having to wake up eariler than normal. going back to sch almost everyday. NUS is literally my second home now...

so today was the karang guni collection for desdanang. the no. of ppl who came was rather disappointing. i am sure some do have reasons so i shall not judge anyone. the collection went on rather well, despite the small manpower strength. everyone was still optimistic. Some families gave really lots of newspapers and old clothes. guess they did read the flyer we gave out. i'm glad that our efforts in distributating flyers door by door did not go to waste. the 'xiong' part was for those flats without lifts on every floor, where we had to carry down stacks and stacks of newspapers to the common lift level. really really 'pei fu' sumaiya, who came down to help us despite her fasting period. i was alreadly damm thirsty after 1 block and she cld actually not drink for whole day.. Camaraderie was really high at some points, esp at blk 315. we did quickly comb the whole block and had lots of stuff. seriously, if we had more manpower, we cld have done more blocks and perhaps get better results. dunno how much our collection will generate, but at this point, we got to raise our funds bit by bit. sorting things out back in nus was another xiong affair, but we did have lots of fun looking at what ppl gave us. haha.. next weekend is another of our collection (if all things go smoothly) and i seriously hope more ppl could come down to help us. all the fund raising events are coming up and i am all excited, esp the trip itself! and oh ya, we forgot to take photo today!!! must take a grp photo next wk!

okie... time to sleep... prepare for another week of hectic in school and for tuition!

haha... finally caught prison break season 3 epi 1! After watching he first epi, i felt it was rather duh... He got to break out again from prison again... shall see what happen...

and i can't wait for all the rest of the shows to come back!

Finally mid sem break is here... Can finally take a break without feeling guilty and be glad to know that there is one week ahead to catch up.

Been a shag week. Fri was geog soc MAF celebration. Turnout was rather gd, though i thought could be better. As usual, we are unable to get much ppl from out of the geog soc MC. food was a lot and great! the soon kueh is nice! and dr pow bought us donuts! In the end, we got lots of food stocked up in geog rm, and that was after giving away lots of food. I feel that the lantern walk could have been better, as it was like planned only at the last minute. still, it was a great feeling knowing that we pulled off this event. Really, the bond in geog soc is really strong now and i really enjoy what i am doing despite all the heavy schedule, i am always willing to put some time aside for the society. Perhaps, it's what some has said, a group of people who has passion for geography put together.

so sat was the geog field trip to singapore river... imagine waking up before the sun comes out (argh! i haven had that in quite some time). reaching singapore river feeling damm tired, with my eyeslids dropping. lucky for prof chang's interesting narration and observations, i was kept awake. Indeed, the trip has gave me some new insights into that area... didn't take any pics, cause i was too busy trying to jot down notes and keeping myself awake. only took one with the 3 geog soc members at pitstop cafe. shall go get it from jon. was so tired at the end of they day that i drop dead once i reached home till this morning. yeah... finally my needed 12 hrs of sleep.

and was practically rushing my projects this afternoon. Finally i cld spend some time thinking and conceptualizing about the projects. blasted the Hairspray soundtrack... keeps me energetic for the whole afternoon. grooving to the dance tunes and typing on my lappie... really feel like getting up and dance... haha.. I love musical movies!

haha... i am not studying again... taking a break.



was surfing around and i found this clip which dr millie showed us during one of our CNM lecture. this guy actually became famous online through the video. apart from the academic part (which is how people found out who the person the video in. then leading to privacy issues and blah blah blah), the music is actually so cool! if he actually really did that with the guitar, it is so amazing!

So cool! I am now having a skype conferene with ky and tw! haha.. haven been chatting like this since ky flew off. haha.. so i am sacrificing my sleep to chat with them... haha.... good to take my mind off work for a while.

i am now so stuck between 2 projects... Imagine 2 projects meeting in one day. by 5pm, my brain is totally drained...

and i expereinced rush hour today. squeezed on bus 96 to clementi. squeezed on mrt to cck... i haven squeezing on public transport for quite some time.. it's ok to squeeze once in a while, but to so it everyday, argh!!! i think i may be willing to pay more to own my own transport....

it seems like mid sem break has come early for me... i am alreadly slacking throught the whole weekend. never finish readings... rush tutorials last minute...


been a busy week though.. i guess that is the reason i am slacking once i got the chance.. from lessons to meetings to doing research to hunting for bears to tuition... the long list just continues... for once, i actually wished there were more than 24hrs in a day.


and i sort of had enough of one of my students.. actually told him off during the lesson. really, it is this type of students that made teachers give up. since he doesn't even bother to do study, i shall just do what i am paid to do "teach" and then go off. i seriously have tried. but he seems to get worse n worse. there is nothing i can do. and i told his parents that i shall be taking him only till the end of this yr, which means 2 more lessons (phew!).

haha... i still see so many ppl online at such weird hours.. wonder if they are slacking like me or mugging? seriously, the many times i am online this week, i am actually doing things, not surfing for fun.

busy schedule ahead for desdanang. feeling sian yet excited at the things to come. praying that things run smoothly... i hate cock ups in the middle.... it is just so unassuring and nerve wrecking and demoralising...

and more projects coming up....

What a freaking busy week... with all the projects discissions, meetings, assignments, tuition... argh... tuition is really killing. boh pian loh... money is gd wat..

I think my mind is functioning at optinum only at night. That's the period when all my readings make sense. This is real real bad. cause it's gonna drain me out for the day. somehow on thu night, the night peace, plus corrinne may on my radio and a bit of booze made me come out with some real gd excellent (i think so lah) ideas for my geog project n the singapore slogan. and now i am trying to make sense of my cnm readings.

and oh ya.. i actually became a sort of a relationship consultant for someone. irony huh.. someone who hasn't been in a relationship giving advise.. it has been some time since i did tat.. haha.. ok, it's gd to hear about such stuff once in a while. and perhaps i shall learn from their experience huh.. just hope i am not giving bad advice. if things turn ugly, urgh...

and i am now hooked onto Brothers and Sisters. The show is gonna start season 2 in the upcoming decision. it's about a family, their relationship, their problems. what was protrayed was rather real. every family is a dysfunctional one. it's just how we accept and love each other. i came from small family and sometimes i really do envy such large families. at least it wld be nice to know that in a big family, there are more ppl who will be standing by me. though it is a drama, it is so life. drama is about life ain't it? i get inspiration from drama (gd ones though) like how i get inspiration from books(those that really blew me away).

and crap. all my fav shows, heroes season 2, grey's anatomy season 4, desperate housewives season 4, prison break season 3, ugly betty season 2, brothers and sisters season 2. they are all gonna start screening in september!!! i cannot afford to watch these shows towards the end of the sem....
